CHIP & MIECHV funding expired on September 30th . This missed deadline has real implications for real children and families. With every day that passes after the deadline, millions of children, pregnant women and families are left with more uncertainty about whether or not they will be able to access the health care they rely on or reap the benefits of home visits.
Take action by reaching out to Congress and demand that they #ExtendCHIP and MIECHV as soon as possible. Families who rely on CHIP already face uncertainty and challenges, whether managing a complicated health condition for their child or determining how to afford day-to-day living expenses. And home visiting improves physical and mental health, and increases school readiness and economic stability.
