ADVOCACY ALERT: Contact Your Legislator to Support Kids Funding for 2021

Children need more help in the pandemic, not less. Send an email or post to your legislator to help provide child care, youth programs, remote learning support, address disparities, and cut child poverty in the NYS 2021 Budget.

You're Invited to Our 2021 Advocacy Breakfast on March 31st at 9 am via Zoom.

We will be joined by Jamaal Bowman, US Representative of the 16th Congressional District, and Dr. Lester Young Jr., Chancellor of the NYS Board of Regents, for a discussion about equity for all children in remote learning and general education during our current crisis and beyond.

Admission is free with registration and donations are welcome.

WCA Joins The Child Poverty Reduction Advocacy Group

In September 2020, WCA joined the statewide Child Poverty Reduction Core Group, spearheaded by Schuyler Center for Analysis and Advocacy, to promote policies that aim to cut the child poverty rate in half by 2030.

New Faces: Debbie Campbell and Jasmine Drew

We have welcomed new faces to the WCA Team including Debbie Campbell as our Development Associate and Jasmine Drew as our MSW Intern.
